The latest in trendy bathroom designs… an L shaped bath. Not only do they look great but practical too.
What are the two things that you look out for when designing your bathroom? Well you want it to look good for starters but you also want it to practical. There is no point in getting something just because it looks great, it needs to work for you too.
You might try that once but not again…
So what makes an L shaped bath so sought after? The ability to have a shower/bath in one but get the feeling of a separate shower.
You know how difficult it is to have a shower in a normal bath. There is not enough room and when you stand at the edge you face the problem of the standard curvature of the bath.
Well it isn’t like that with the L shaped bath. No more cramped settings and no more uncomfortable showers.
You get the added bonus that you don’t need a separate shower base to achieve this… which is excellent news. Not only does it take up less space but will cost less than the two… especially if you don’t have a separate shower already plumbed. It all runs of existing plumbing so there is no need to worry about that.
With that said, an L shaped bath tends to be more expensive than a normal bath because they are more specialised (they look better though) so this is something you need to consider before purchasing one.
But if they are right for you then the extra is worth it. You can also think of the resale value of the house because, even if you aren’t selling yet, it will be a nice feature for you bathroom to have.
